Some of the Waratahs supporters group killing time at the Christchurch Airport Bar awaiting the bus.

A technical problem with the Virgin Plane meant that we were unable to land at the scheduled stop of Queenstown on Friday. The flaps on the wings would not advance which meant that we were forced to go the Christchurch airport for a " high speed " landing ( not my favorite !! ). This was due to the fact that we needed the length of Christchurch's runway to stop the plane. Virgin could not assist with replacement planes or buses which was a bit of a let down and meant we missed Queenstown altogether.
With the connections through rugby and the great efforts of the Tahs tour coordinators we managed to get a bus and drive for 4.5 hours to Dunedin , which was our scheduled stop for the game the day after the scheduled sightseeing in Queenstown on Saturday. Bye bye Queenstown! , not meant to happen.
Virgin  supplied some food vouchers which got smashed at the Christchurch airport bar on beers where we had a 4 hour wait for the bus. Everyone stayed in good humor and took the opportunity to bond at the bar before the bus trip. A big cheer for the Tahs organisers who turned around a difficult situation and got us to Dunedin and the game the next day.
