IDS attend T-3 dealers conference in Barcelona

On the end of Fespa 2012 in Barcelona IDS attended the dealers meeting of T-3. The meeting was attended by over 50 delegates from over 40 countries and was held at the Avenida Palace Hotel.

A new extrusion and many other innovations with T-3 product range and these will be integrated into the Australian/New Zealand market later this year. IDS will be extruding the new profile in the 2nd quarter of 2012 and stocking all the accessories fornT-3

Waratahs Launch 2012 season at Ivy

HSBC Waratahs had their official launch today at the Ivy where players,sponsors,officials and special guests were present. The excitement is building for the opening local interstate clash on Sat 25th of February at ANZ Stadium between last years premiers The Reds from Queensland and The Waratahs. This game celebrates 130 years of Rugby between these two great Rugby States.

IDS was represented at the launch today and we are very excited that another year is ready to go and fully support the Waratahs as a sponsor for our 3rd year. Go the Tahs!!!

A recent and ongoing project is the installation of graphics designed by KR Creative and produced and installed by IDS at Stanhope Gardens High School. Various Australian icons have been selected and have agreed to have a panel/s designed for various faculties within the school. This image shows a collage of John Bell Images which were installed in the Drama class rooms entry.

Year of the Dragon at The Star - an IDS Project

IDS was again called on to produce and install the decorations around The Star for Chinese New Year.

The projects main feature piece was the many meters of fabric banner which was produced to uniformly drape down in wave pattern to hang symmetrically from pipe trussing installed onto the existing banner wires.

The fabric used was a semi see-through mesh which allowed the natural sunlight to penetrate and give it a much richer colour. As you can see the job was very striking and themed the Year of the Dragon strongly even before you entered the premises.

IDS Displays attended a dinner function for Sponsors at Simmer on the Bay last Friday hosted by Joint directors Andrew Upton and Cate Blanchette.
The night was to thank the sponsors for the 2012 year's support and outline the exciting program of plays over three separate venues being The Drama Theate at The Opera House, The Wharf Theatres and the Sydney Theatre.
IDS is proud to support Sydney Theatre as a sponsor and celebrate our 10th year of association.

IDS Displays supplies the graphic content for both large light boxes at the STC and Digital Signage as part of our sponsor support.

In early July we will have our initial release of our Print Sample boxes. Inside the box is a sample of many of the substrates that we can print directly on in both roll media and rigid substrates.Each sample will display a Square Metre price which will allow you to estimate the printed price of a project on your selected substrate.
IDS can also install all of the images onto your site and a site visit will enable us to give you an accurate print and installation project price. A recent re-vamp of our pricing structure has seen many substrates reduce in cost which is good news when budgets are not getting larger.
The recent addition of Large flat bed printing and cutting equipment has given IDS a great production facility to supply graphics for your next project.

Last week Bruce Scott and Ian Wall the owners of IDS Displays visited Euroshop Trade Fair in Dusseldorf. The show runs for 5 days and occupies seventeen halls and features the latest in Displays, Point of Sale , lighting and digital systems.
Scott and Wall had a very successful trip and are negotiating the exclusive agencies to several new and innovative products. As well as initiating some new products which will be released to the Australian Market at Printex. IDS re-signed agreements with leading brands such as T-3 and X2 Nordic Displays.

Tahs Sponsors assemble at AAMI Stadium with Tah Man before the game

The Waratahs first Super 15 game of the year coincided with the annual Partners Tour to Melbourne to watch the Melbourne Rebels versus HSBC Waratahs. As this was the very first game that the Rebels played in the new Super 15 competition it made this an historic event.

The tour was well attended by some forty officials,sponsors and players and was conducted over 3 days with networking and socialising activities at various venues.

The tour was a great success from all aspects and the Tahs came away with an historic 43 - 0 win.

Our thanks go to all at the Waratahs team that were associated with the organisation of the tour.

Digilink Design Print series was exhibited at Cafe Japone at 1 Canberra Street , Randwick.The official opening was on February 6th where over 50 guests were in attendance. More than half of the acylic print series were sold on the opening night.
IDS Displays produced the works designer Deborah johnston and they were produced on 3mm clear acrylic via direct print on the Oce 350GT printer. The images looked stunning at the opening , as did Deborah. They were displayed in a timber frame and a clear border and are kaleidoscopes of nature. .

Year of the Rabbit - Comes to Star City - with fabric banners

The year of the rabbit was launched at Star City this morning with the hanging of a 70 metre x 3 metre fabric banner in the porte cochere outside the casino and a smaller 35 metre banner outside the hotel. The banner was a step and repeat pattern with pockets every 7.5 metres spaced apart on rigging every 5 metres which allowed it to billow down in a spinnaker like manner.

IDS Displays installed 13 x T-3 booths with counters at Darling Harbour Convention Centre in the bayside room for a internal seminar for HSBC.

The displays were installed in the T-3 Modular exhibition system and printed onto 1mm PVC and attached with magnetic to the modular frame.

HSBC called on IDS to build a contemporary and open display for the ACI conference last year.
The display stand was constructed from our T-3 modular display system as a hire item. It was dressed with pvc vinyl panels on the uprights and horizontal columns.Fabric banners were hung from the columns to create meeting rooms.

Internet Hotspot booth - Star City

Star City recently refurbished the Internet booth
in the staff canteen and used the printing and installation services of IDS for the project.
The area is enclosed with glass full-height panels and they are covered with a printed graphic onto a clear vinyl to give semi privacy.

Doctor Zhivago Stage brings winter to Star City

New Season arrives at Sydney Theatre Wharf

Late last year IDS Displays produced 12 large ultraboard images each 1500mm x 3000mm and installed these along the Sydney Theatre Walkway to launch the 2011 season.
The images were printed on " Ultraboard " an environmentally friendly and recyclable board made from a honeycomb board where the image is printed directly to the coated face.
